Diane Childers, Associate Director of Operations, is skilled in nonprofit organizations, project leadership, budgeting, coaching, and team management. Childers has extensive experience working with progressive institutions in higher education. No stranger to the Hokie community, Childers recently served as the Chief of Staff/VP for Health Sciences and Technology at the Fralin Biomedical Research Institute at VTC where she oversaw the management of operations and executive office personnel.
“Diane shares our Center’s passion for developing people, products and organizations that create value,” said Sean Collins, Director of the Apex Center for Entrepreneurs. “Her experience with Fralin and stakeholders across the University will be invaluable as she helps lead the continued expansion of entrepreneurship as a transformative force at Virginia Tech.”
In her new role as Associate Director for Operations, Childers will oversee the buildout of staff and guide resource and program initiatives within Center. “I am excited about the future direction of Apex Center and look forward to engaging with faculty, students and corporate partners to support entrepreneurship at Virginia Tech.”
Childers earned her Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with a focus in Business Administration and Management from Roanoke College.
