As an undergraduate in Management at Virginia Tech, John Hite had an idea: in a school where football was king, the stadium seat cushions were old, bland, and uncomfortable. With a little moxie, elbow grease, and many a late night, John and his college roommate began College Comfort, renting VT-emblazoned seat cushions to game-goers.

Fast forward 23 years with several acquisitions & name changes later, John Hite is now the Vice President of Amplify by Learfield.

John has remained with the company throughout this exciting journey, helping to guide company growth and transitions all while building team culture. Today Amplify by Learfield holds 700,000 plus seats in inventory with over 100 partner schools.

John and his wife Kristin are active in their community and are proud parents to four talented young children. They live not far from John’s rural upbringing in beautiful Southside Virginia. John is an avid outdoorsman, hunter, and golfer.
