Kim Shanahan has worked with hundreds of CEOs, Board members, and Chief Human Resource Officers (CHROs) across the country in multiple industries focusing on leading executive level searches and projects. With more than 20 years of business experience, she understands the impact that a company’s human capital can have on its bottom line. Her passion around HR and business transformation led Kim to found accelHRate and help companies transform the way they think about Human Resources. Her extensive network and valued relationships provide the critical insights necessary for identifying the most talented and effective HR leaders. Kim is showing enterprises that HR is more than just a support function. She is redefining what “great” looks like when it comes to HR talent – and proving that HR can be a key player in driving business success.

Before launching accelHRate, she led Korn Ferry’s Human Resources Practice. She also served as Korn Ferry’s Managing Director for its tech-centric Northern Virginia office. Prior to Korn Ferry, she applied her C-level management consulting and executive search experience with Heidrick & Struggles.

Kim developed and led MCI’s global executive recruiting and talent strategy, managed Wireless Corporate Strategy and Business Development, and launched new markets across the United States. She cultivated her global consulting experience with DFI, where she assessed merger and acquisition targets and created strategic market entry plans.
