Dr. Artis is 1971 engineering graduate of VT. After a decade at Bell Labs, I joined a Tysons Corner startup called Morino Associates. Over the next 6 years, we grew from <10 to 150 people and went public. Subsequent to Mornio, I formed Performance Associates, a firm which focused on storage performance and business continuance. After 30 years, we transferred the IP and closed the firm. Since then, I have been a professor of practice in Aerospace Engineering at Virginia Tech and continue to consult for and advise a variety of clients.
