Walter Barnes, III is the President of PM Consulting Group LLC, a professional services firm that serves Federal Government clients. Specifically, for USAID, PMCG provides institutional support and buy-in mechanism support services. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia and his Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from The George Washington University in Washington, DC. Mr. Barnes has over 20 years of experience providing Federal Government consulting support with KPMG Consulting, BearingPoint, Booz Allen Hamilton, and SRA International. Mr. Barnes is the board chair for the Capital Youth Empowerment Program (CYEP), which is focused on addressing issues with the fatherless home, teen pregnancy prevention and workforce development. Mr. Barnes is also a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc and the Virginia Tech Industrial and Systems Engineering Advisory Board.
